here's what soccer's abt..
in history it shall be written:

28th april 2007, a saturday..
lunchtime in England,
but lunch aint on the ppl's minds,
its the return of the epl..
the world's best league..
and they found out y..

the early fixtures read:
everton vs man u
chelsea vs bolton
it was the 1st time in a very long time both teams played simultaneously

pre match standings:
man u had a 3 pt lead over chelsea with just 4 games to go at the top of the epl

man u knew it wasnt an easy game..in fact..probably one of their hardest..
manager fergie described it as a "cup final"
my gosh did it play out like one heck of a drama series..

early in the game
and man u found themselves 1-0 down after carrick deflected the ball into his own net from a rocket of a free kick..
a slow start for man u..
they need something special to get them going..
oh..
and player of the season c.ronaldo started on the bench being rested for the vital milan game this coming wed.

it was not so bad considering not too long later did chelsea also find themselves 1-0 down to bolton in the other game..
but they equalized 3 mins later through kalou..
and the same player popped up to score the goal tt gave chelsea a half time 2-1 lead.

so at halftime the scores stand:
everton 1 man u 0
chelsea 2 bolton 1

by the looks of things, if the score stands the same for both games,
chelsea wld have totally closed the 3 pt gap between them and man u..
and man u wld only lead chelsea on goal diff, with both having 82 pts.
keep in mind that man u still has to travel to stanford bridge to play chelsea nx week.
so the outcome of today's matches wld be vital..

its the start of the 2nd half in the everton man u game.
man u start it off brightly with constant pressure on the everton defence..
but out of the blue pops fernandes with an absolutely cracker tt stuns man u.
united are down 2-0 with time running out..

meanwhile, chelsea still lead bolton 2-1..
united are in deep trouble if they dun do anything soon..

united has a corner on the hour mark.
carrick takes it..
routine catch for the everton keeper..
oh my word, he's fumbled the ball
and o shea is there to make it everton 2 man u 1
significance of this..the keeper who fumbled was only playing cos tim howard, the man u keeper on loan to everton cldnt play as stated in his contract against his rightful club.

game on..
united's confidence is growing..
alex ferguson the united manager decides its worth risking the portugese winger ronaldo and off the bench he comes..

meanwhile, chelsea's turn to take a blow as bolton draw level 2-2 via kevin davies.
nerves are starting to fray..

back to the united game and within 5 mins of their 1st goal, man u have equalised!
and the manner they did is astonishing..
phil neville scores an own goal.
of all ppl..
the everton captain phil..
for those who dont know, phil is the bro of gary neville who is currently injured at man u and is also the captain of man u..
phil used to be a man u player but was sold a few seasons ago..
today he unintentionally helps out his old club by scoring an own goal..
and so united have drawn level 2-2.

chelsea's turn to be in trouble..
they struggle while man u are on the ascendency

and ironically it was rooney who gave man u the lead..
unlike phil..there were no favours for his old club everton..
u see..
rooney came from everton..he grew up there and played for them until he was sold to man u.
and despite the boos from the everton fans, he cooled popped up with a goal

united lead 3-2..
chelsea are being held 2-2
what a turn around..

and with the final whistle at chelsea's game,
man u's confidence sky rocketed..
and they sealed their destiny..
chris eagles, a youth player who has not been in the man u senior team line up for 2 years comes on for the ageing solkjaer..
and with just mins to go..
he puts the iceing on the cake with a superb curler
wad a goal for the young lad on his debut for man u..

man u 4 everton 2
chelsea 2 bolton 2

final whistle at goodison park and alex ferguson and his men are celebrating as though they've won the epl..
rightly so..
from in danger of being tied with chelsea to 5 pts ahead of them
and it cld well be confirmed nx weekend tt the epl returns to old trafford..

and mind u..
the fixtures are tasty..

crunching..absolutely crunching..
the manchester derby is one where u expect nth more den dead serious rivalry and 100% from both sides
and den there's the clash between arsenal and chelsea..
old rivals in a mouth watering london derby..
chelsea have to win if they were to have any hope of catching man u..
and they have to do it big time against a young rising arsenal team lead by the ever inspiring 19 year old.. Cesc Fabregas..

if football doesnt make u go goo goo ga ga over it..
